President-elect Rodrigo Duterte Declared that he vigorously campaign for the artificial birth control in the country even if he takes on the Catholic Church, which strongly opposed the use of contraceptives.

Duterte said yesterday that having many children is driving many families into poverty, and he again stressed his recommendation to the Filipinos to have only three children.

Jokingly threatened the mayor to curb the property of magpapasaway men and proclaimed the family planning program as long mayor of Davao City, where he offered cash rewards to citizens who voluntarily undergoing free vasectomy or ligation.

Many politicians in the country to avoid conflict with the powerful Catholic Church in the Philippines by evasive terms or less aggressive in promoting the use of contraceptives.
