200 families or more than 800 people who belong to tribes Talaindig fled from their homes and farms in the mountains following the killing of two of their leaders in Kilometer 55, Barangay Zillovia in talacogon.

The hundreds of indigenous people are staying temporarily in a gymnasium in Talacogon and assisted by the municipal government, according to the municipal administrator Atty. Ferdausi Cerna.

He said meeting the members of the Municipal Peace and Order Council (MPOC) and the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (MDRRMC) to solve the problem of Lumad evacuees and the community of the mountains.

Besides food, the main problem as the health condition of children, according to Cerna.

He added that more MPOC determine the cause of the evacuation of the tribe and the real motive behind the killing of the head of them, as well as the identity of the suspects.

It was learned that the natives fled after killing Erning Alaki, adults; and Ricky Bucalas, both residents of the Kilometer 55.

Alaki's body was found in Tumalog Creek, in Sitio Tumalog, Bgy. Zillovia on June 4, June 5 while he discovers the body of Bucalas in Sitio Tumalog also. Both were officers of the tribe Talaandig.

Meanwhile, confirmed Agusan del Sur Police Provincial Office (PPO) Director Joseph D.
