A Philippine Army soldiers were seriously injured after being shot by his colleague in Barangay Sangali, Zamboanga City, police reported yesterday.
According to the investigation of the Zamboanga City Police Office (ZCPO), the incident took place at 9:00 am Sunday in Sitio Daap, Barangay Sangali, Zamboanga City.
Police Senior Insp. Helen Galvez Limen, the ZCPO, the wounded victim as Pfc. Ricky Bunsalao, while the suspect was identified only as "Rene Sitting."
According to police, the victim riding a motorcycle with his wife when suddenly approached and shot the suspect.
Ran inside the rented house of the victim and called the emergency services while his wife was also fortunate not hit by bullets, according to police reports.
Police have yet to police the motive behind the shooting of fellow soldiers suspect the victim.
