Admitted yesterday's outgoing Philippine National Police (PNP) Chief Director General Ricardo Marquez that some police are afraid of big reforms unreported to police when seated in the position of incoming President Rodrigo Duterte.

Marquez said that he knew about the concern of some police officers, and even operatives, often knocking him to the provinces in the country in recent days to say goodbye.

"I said change is coming and we should not fear change. There are always concerns, but whoever is the President, whoever is the chief of police for as long as we remain committed to public service, loyal to the badge we wear, and remain committed to our mission to serve and protect the people, then we have nothing to fear, "said Marquez.

According to the source, including the fear of possible police sweeping changes in the leadership of the police, especially since relatively junior officer was just incoming PNP chief, Chief Supt. Ronald dela Rosa, and the rumors will use the police as hitmen of the criminal.
